Case Study 1


Case Study
Jimmy is a disruptive 2nd grader.  He challenges everything the teacher does or says.  With him every small primary issue escalates into several major and secondary issue.  The teacher tries to be assertive and stern with telling Jimmy to not talk during class at all and that he needs to stay in at recess.  The teacher doesn’t always follow-through with the threats of having him stay in at recess because the teacher is stressed and needs a break from him.  The teacher is at a point now where she ignores his good and bad behavior and does not give Jimmy any attention.  How could the teacher use the Love and Logic process to improve the situation?
